Who can come to Valley Community Clinic to be seen by a doctor?
Valley Community Clinic serves men, women and children without health insurance** and patients enrolled in the following programs:
MediCal Managed Care FPACT/CDP (Mammograms) CHDP (Children) Healthy Families Healthy Kids Healthy Way L.A.
**Unfortunately due to lack of funding, there are periods when we are unable to see new patients. General Medical services are particularly affected. If this occurs, we ask for your understanding. Securing adequate funding for all our medical services is a constant concern. All tax-deductible contributions to the Clinic, however small, are absolutely vital to the Clinic's mission of serving those in need of health services. How much will it cost me to see a doctor? Services are provided on a sliding scale or are free depending on the particular service provided. This means that your fee is dependent on your income and family size. Proof of income and address required.
What about prescriptions? Valley Community Clinic has an on-site dispensary, so prescribed medications are also on a sliding scale.
Does the Clinic provide services for people of all ages? Yes, we see patients of all ages, from newborn and up.
The Counseling Department sees children age 3 and above.
Where is Valley Community Clinic located? Valley Community Clinic is located at 6801 Coldwater Canyon Avenue (corner of Vanowen), in North Hollywood. The nearest bus lines are: the 165, which runs on Vanowen, and the 167, which runs on Coldwater.
Do I need an appointment? ALL SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY APPOINTMENT ONLY - NO WALK-INS.

Different services have different hours. Please call in advance for an appointment:

How far ahead of time do I need to make an appointment? Depending on the reason for your visit, 24 hours - 6 weeks. Gynecological appointments can be made up to 6 weeks in advance.
Counseling appointments are made within a week.
ALL APPOINTMENTS ARE GIVEN ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE BASIS.
How long can I expect to wait in the lobby for my appointment? Visits to Valley Community Clinic for general medical appointments typically last about 1 1/2 hours from check in to check out.
What languages are spoken at the Clinic? English & Spanish
What if I’m having a medical emergency? Valley Community Clinic is NOT an urgent care facility. If you are having a medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.
